I began coaching archery in 2004 on the local level. In 2005 I was working closely with the NASP and I created the Community Coach Course to close the gap between the Intermediate Instructor Course and the Level III Coach Course. I was hoping to certify coaches to participate in the Community Archery Programs being funded by Archery Trade Association and Easton Sports Development Foundation. In 2007 I was seclected as a JDT Coach. In 2009 I formed the “Virtual JOAD” club so that we could advance coachnig techniques and reach out and work with archers who may not have a JOAD Club conveniently located near them. I have also been the National Director of the Archery Shooters Association since 2002 and worked for the Archery Trade Association as an archery range designer since 2004. I am excited about the direction of the JDT Program and feel fortunate that I have this opportunity to work with these talented young archers who will someday shape our Nation’s archery history.
